Introduction. Information literacy is an essential skill for university students in accessing, evaluating, and utilizing information effectively, particularly in academic activities. Libraries have an important role in developing students' information literacy through innovative services such as literacy classes. This study aims to examine the role of librarians through the literacy class program at Open Library Telkom University.

Data Collection Methods. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation and literature study. The data consisted of subjective descriptions of phenomena and information related to the implementation of the literacy class program and the role of librarians.

Data Analysis. The collected data were analyzed descriptively by examining and interpreting information related to the implementation of the literacy class program, the materials provided, and the role of librarians in supporting users' academic information needs.

Results and Discussion. The results show that the literacy class program at Open Library Telkom University plays an important role in improving users' information literacy, particularly in supporting academic activities and scientific writing. The program is supported by three main modules: the Information Search Module, Reference Manager Tools Module, and Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Module. Through this program, librarians function not only as information providers but also as educators and facilitators who assist students in accessing, evaluating, and utilizing information appropriately.

Conclusion. The literacy class program demonstrates the strategic role of librarians in supporting the development of students' information literacy and academic skills. The program also strengthens the role of the library as an educational institution that provides continuous learning support beyond the classroom.

Penelitian Pelayanan Perpustakaan Sekolah di Indonesia Melalui Database Google Scholar: Narrative Literature Review

Introduction. The school library is an information institution located in the school environment which aims as a means for students to access all information, in the school library there must be library services. Library service is very important for the library because the service itself has a big impact on users who want to find information in the library. The purpose of this research is to find out how appropriate school library services are in Indonesia.

Data Collection Methods. This research uses a narrative literature review method from references related to school library services in Indonesia, the references analyzed are ten references taken through google scholar with reference criteria from 2013-2023.

Data Analysis.The results of the analysis of research methods show that school library services in Indonesia have partially met service standards.

Results and Discussion.the types of services used are mostly circulation services and reference services. Some schools have also implemented information technology to assist librarians in cataloging, classifying, and processing other library materials. Many school library services in Indonesia have indeed met the standards, but there are still library services that are still manual in processing library materials. This is based on some librarians who are not library science graduates, besides the age of librarians who do not understand how to use the internet.

Conclusion. The conclusion obtained from this research is that school library services in Indonesia have mostly met service standards, but there are still some that have not. The use of information technology has also been done in school libraries in Indonesia.

Analisis Implementasi 9 Instrumen Akreditasi Perpustakaan Sekolah Terakreditasi A : Studi Kasus Madrasah Aliyah Darul Ulum Banda Aceh

Introduction. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the nine library accreditation instruments at the MA Darul Ulum Banda Aceh library, which has received an A accreditation rating. The quality of library services is the main focus, as it support the teaching and learning process and contributed to achieving national standards.

Data Collection Methods. The research employs a cased study approach, involving semi structured interviews, observations, and documentation analysis of accreditation forms.

Data Analysis. The results show that the library successfully achieved a total score of 92.02 out of 100, indicating excellent service quality, particularly in the areas of library services and management.

Results and Discussion.The highest scores were achieved in the service and library management components, while collection development and librarian competency remain the main challenges due to budget limitations and the need for continuous professional training. Various innovations, including literacy programs, reading communities, and improved library services, have contributed to strengthening the library's role as an active learning center and enhancing the quality of educational services. The main challenges identified include limited collection development due to budget constraints and the need to enhance staff competencies of library staff through continuous training. Innovations such us form of literacy activities and the establishment of reading communities also helped strengthen the library's role as an active learning center.

Conclusion.This study concludes that the implementation of the nine library accreditation instruments has been effective; however, continuous improvement in collection development, librarian competencies, and service innovation is essential to maintain and enhance library quality.

Public Information Dissemination Strategies Through Digital Video: Editing Processes and Content Standards at the Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Office of the West Sumatra Provincial Government

ABSTRACT

Introduction. The dissemination of public information through digital video at the Office of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics (Diskominfotik) of West Sumatra Province focuses on the editing process and the content standards applied. This study is important because digital video has become a primary medium for government communication in delivering information to the public in a fast, accurate, and transparent manner in the digital era.

Data Collection Methods. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with three informants who were directly involved in the video content production process.

Data Analysis. Data were analyzed through stages of observation, interviews, data reduction, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the workflow of the video editing process.

Results and Discussion. The findings indicate that the video editing process at Diskominfotik is conducted based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that refer to public information disclosure regulations and government communication ethics. The editing stages include footage selection, message structuring, voice-over recording, subtitle insertion, and multi-level review by relevant officials as a form of information gatekeeping. Technical obstacles such as audio quality issues, field conditions, and visual synchronization problems are addressed through editing techniques and content adjustments.

Conclusion. The video production strategy implemented by Diskominfotik is effective in enhancing the accuracy, accessibility, and effectiveness of public information dissemination. Future studies are recommended to examine audience perceptions of government video content.

Introduction. Printed collections are among the most vulnerable types of library materials, requiring appropriate preservation measures to maintain their physical condition and information value. This study aims to identify the factors causing damage to printed collections and to examine the prevention and repair efforts implemented at the Archives and Library Department of Boyolali Regency.

Data Collection Methods. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving librarians responsible for collection preservation and management.

Data Analysis. The collected data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which consists of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification.

Results and Discussion. The findings indicate that damage to printed collections is caused by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include the quality of paper and adhesive materials, while external factors consist of environmental conditions, such as light exposure, temperature, humidity, dust, biological agents, and human factors related to library users. Prevention efforts include installing window films and curtains, maintaining room temperature at 20°C during service hours, routinely cleaning dust from collections, arranging adequate shelving space, applying insect-repellent chalk, displaying library regulations, providing a designated book return box, and installing fire sprinkler systems. Collection repair is conducted independently by librarians by classifying the damage into three categories: minor, moderate, and severe.

Conclusion. The study concludes that preserving printed collections requires an integrated approach combining preventive preservation and corrective actions. Continuous environmental control, user awareness, and systematic repair procedures are essential to extend the lifespan of printed collections and ensure sustainable access to library information resources.

Introduction. Information-seeking behavior is an essential process that enables students to identify, access, evaluate, and utilize information effectively to support their academic activities. Ellis's information-seeking behavior model provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the stages individuals undertake when searching for information. This study is important because understanding students' information-seeking behavior can provide insights into how they access and use information resources in the digital era.

Data Collection Methods. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with four students from different academic cohorts (2022–2024) in the Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo.

Data Analysis. The collected data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification to obtain a comprehensive understanding of students' information-seeking behavior based on Ellis's model.

Results and Discussion. The findings reveal that most participants demonstrated the stages of Ellis's information-seeking behavior model, namely starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring, extracting, verifying, and ending. However, the implementation of these stages varied among participants. Several students did not consistently perform the chaining, differentiating, and monitoring stages, depending on their information needs, search experience, and the availability of information sources. These variations indicate that information-seeking behavior is dynamic and influenced by individual characteristics as well as contextual factors.

Conclusion. This study concludes that students generally exhibit systematic information-seeking behavior consistent with Ellis's model, although differences occur in the implementation of certain stages. These findings contribute to a better understanding of students' information-seeking patterns and may serve as a reference for improving information literacy programs and library services in higher education.
